About lauriebarkercopeland

I'm just like you, but totally unique. We have things in common, but we are all God's one-of-a-kind creatures. I enjoy finding The Funny in life when it gets messy. And we all know how life can get messy, right? Some of the things I love: God, family, friends, storytelling, community, nature, the arts, beauty, travel, fun and games, learning, the study of the personalities, teenagers, acting, writing and missions. More specifically: the mountains, the beach, breathing clean air, traveling to new places, experiences, deep conversations, appreciating the minute in nature, lunching with girlfriends, practicing sensing, predicting trends, taking a few risks along the way. I hate routine, so starting (and keeping up) this vlog is risky for me...but I love community (and a few risks), so I'm going for it! I hope you join me and we can have some Serious Fun together!

  1. YOU owe it to your devoted audience ..we miss you and have been waiting for this LLL!!!

Blessings on your new venture! oxoxo

  2. Love the blog, made me think. Mine would be outdoors related today, like the smell of fresh mowed grass, a weeded garden, seeing the little signs of spring, the garden actually growing, I still get excited over every jalapeno flower and watching a tomato grow, or picking my own herbs to throw in for dinner. And coffee. Definitely an ahh moment. πŸ™‚ Come to Texas and have coffee with me!

    • My breezy moments are mostly nature related, too! Sometimes I really marvel at the diversity and beauty God put into nature!!! Except my “nature” breezy moments are scenery-related…not food-derived-from-my-own-blood-sweat-and-tears kind. Coffee? After all these years, you didn’t know I STILL don’t drink the stuff? Like my Dad always says, “I’m not old enough to drink it!” But I’ll still come and visit. Or rather, you are coming here, right?

  3. yes- LLL ( Lovely Laurie Lynn) you are right ~ we are the same, yet unique. How good it is to even …take the time to consider what our ‘breezy moments’ are.
    ahhh -that is #1 πŸ™‚

wow~ I can relate to the nature thing…just sitting outside on a pleasant and breezy day is such a treat, and my eyes dance!! when I see butterflies flitting about, or I spy a cardinal and hear it chirping with it’s very specific call( that I have learned to imitate). When I moved from MI. the first thing I did was plant some pine trees in my yard..so it is very satisfiying to hear the wind moving through them . Are we close to 10?
I love how God puts certain people in my path for me (wow)..to give an encouraging word or helping hand to ..and then have it so confirmed.. that it was HIM, YES!, that is good for alot of breezies!!!

My granddaughters dancing around and all giggly when I come in the door to see them ,wanting to be ‘up on UMI ‘(that’s me) for a story or 12 stories.. lol and then standing at the door in their pjs, waving and blowing kisses to me when I leave def on my list.
I do love babbling brooks , waterfalls, a walk through the woods the spendor of fall… the great lakes , oceans and mountains too but, who can compare the size of a breezy moment? ..they are all wonderful if they touch the heart!

  4. Lina joined me in viewing you’re wonderful vlog and she too is thrilled to be a “vlog-ette!” She said “Come on mom, let’s make a video to send back to her!” I told her that we couldn’t make a video right now but I would write down her breezy moments and she said ok and started rattling them off!! She said “hugging” as she gave me a big hug, “giving gifts and cards to people”, and “tickle fights!!” Thanks Laurie for inspiring us to think “breezy” and create another breezy moment in what started out as an ordinary evening!!

    • hahahaha! I love this comment, Denise! I think we should develop a “vlogette dance”. In my mind, it would have something to do with a can-can dance. Whatcha think? What made my day was when I read about your own breezy moment while talking about breezy moments! Priceless!

  5. I had so many great comments left on my facebook page, I just had to add them here as well.
This one is from Kim Winslow: Loved this! And I knew about the wind on your face thing! Remember I was the privileged friend who got to take you on your first outing after the knee surgery! And I have to say you really nailed some of my favorites too! AHHHH to Clean sheets!

  6. This one is from my college roomie, Rachel Irwin Shaw: When one of my kids comes over to me and just gives me a big hug..for no reason, un-begged for!! As they have gotten older they don’t come very often but boy is it sweet when it does.

    • Rachel: I so agree! Sometimes I’m watching TV and a little kid hugs their mommy and I just melt, wishing my kid was there with me right at that moment…instead of doing all-grown-up type things like work. Harumph!

  7. This one from my former neighbor, Debbie:
Debbie Nicholson When I consciously sit down and ask God to help me get through a certain trial and tribulation when I feel I have hit the strongest brick wall of resistance and POW that wall is broken and everything just seems to fall in the right place! That is my breezy moment!!!

  8. This one from my Red Tent buddy and fellow writer, Jennie:
Jennie Bishop: I saw a daddy with his tiny little gal standing in their driveway watching a train go by today. It was a “squeel” moment! Definitely breezy!

  9. And one from a fellow Highlands friend:
Kimberly Hendrickson Charles: One of my favorite “Breezy Moments” are when I am leaving work at the hospital after a 12 hour shift knowing that I have made a difference in at least one patients life.
